Chand Chandramohan is a multidisciplinary artist who graduated from LASALLE College of the Arts/Goldsmiths, University of London 2014. Chand was born in 1992, and hailing from Singapore
Chand Chandramohan’s main practice develops through performance art. With an interest in deconstructing aspects of performance art, such as time, space, body, or modes of documentation used during the process. Focused on time based and process based art, Chand explores themes of life, philosophy, and death in these performances. The core of Chand’s complementary practice of Photoshop and drawing, is humour. Using observations about life, Chand teams up with her close friends to make sarcastic remarks about the absurd nature of society. These projects are still performance based, as they come from Chand’s performative process.
Chand Chandramohan has been practising since 2011. Noted works include Alterable Entity, solo show in New Space Arts Gallery, Art of Work with Chicks on Speed, and Horizontal Denglong, as part of the Pulau Ubin AIR programme. Chand Chandramohan is also a member of The Artist Village (TAV).
About ATTAGIRL!'s 4th Anniversary:
As a tradition for ATTAGIRL!, every year the crew comes together for a massive anniversary party, uniting girls from all spectrums of art in one place to showcase their work and talent. This year is no different, and we have curated a lineup of over 30 artists, DJs, musicians and VJs for this edition of our annual celebration.
Works from artists that get sold go to our adopted charity this year, UN Women, and proceeds contribute to the programmes the organisation offers towards the welfare of women in need.
